I purchased two bottles of perfume at the Firewheel location in Garland, Tx. One bottle was the small bottle, which I went back later that same evening and exchanged for the large bottle.
I payed cash for both bottles. I decided I wanted to get my money back. I went to Northpark Center in Dallas, Tx. to return them.
I got my cash back for one of the bottles, but when I tried to get my money back for the bottle I exchanged for the larger size, the sales associate had used a gift card as part of the exchange. I didnt have, or use a gift card. I paid in cash. I was only able to receive a gift card as part of the return.
That sneaky sales associate snuck that in on purpose, knowing that if I returned the product, I would be forced to only get a gift card , so I would have to use it at Dillards. I will NEVER shop at Dillards again. I want my cash back! I paid cash, and I want it back!
I dont want a stinking gift card. Im calling the corporate office tomorrow, and I am reporting them to the BBB. Im going to leave a bad review, anywhere I can. To top that off, the PIN number on the back of the gift card that they gave me, was scratched off.
Be careful if you are exchanging something. Watch very carefully that they dont slip in a gift card as part of the exchange. Tricky Dicky!
I dont need to shop at their gaudy store. Good riddance Dillards!

Greetings. I am contacting you in regards to a purchase I made in the Macon store 06/09/23.
This is the closest store to my home but is still quite a drive of several hours away from my home. I enjoy your store and try to make the trip there with most of shopping. Several weeks ago I bought a dooney and Burke purse with a matching wallet it was meant as a gift for my mothers birthday which was actually today. Only tragically we arent celebrating it because over the last weekend we learned that my brother her oldest child had hung himself near our home.
My brother suffered with mental illness for most of his life and had been in a very bad state of mind over the last few months. He had lost his job and been served with divorce papers. None of these reasons seems likely a good reason to have done this in my opinion. Now my mother is our only surviving parent and there isnt a lot of resources in assisting in his final expenses.
We have no one to turn to for this and are trying desperately to pull any resources in funding to help cover this burden because it is so heavily weighting on our poor mother. So back to my point in contacting you, my purchase made in the dillards in Macon on 06/09/23. If which I have all reciept and pop stickers on labels still attached. I need to return to the store this purchase today and be refunded back the money I paid in cash .
I know the normal amount of time for return is 30 days but this is a not normal situation and my family is in great need in this time of grief and would greatly appreciate any assistance you can offer in this awful situation. I know this isnt your problem but we need this $700+ dollars more then you will ever know.

Ordered a pair of women's pants (same size as all my other pants - but they were way too small. I returned the item (with a request that the item be replaced with another size) and did not receive them.
After a compliant, I was issued a partial credit - after they deducted a shipping fee for the return. So, I was charged a shipping fee when I ordered them and another shipping fee for returning them. In order to get a replacement for the returned item, they wanted me to pay a THIRD shipping fee. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!
I must say Im not at all impressed with the online purchasing system of Dillards.
This was my first online order and, based on this experience, it may be my last!! The sizing on the item was incorrect and no adjustment was made.
I recommend they look at improving their customer service. I am a very unhappy customer!

My wife purchased a $60 dress for my daughter. It has sparkles.
She wore it one time and it bled sparkles all over my car as well as all over my daughter's body. We had to lint roll the car (vacuum wouldn't work). Worse than that, the dress has some large spots where sparkles are missing, which makes it unusable. Clearly it has a defect.
My wife tried to return it and was turned away. I called and spoke to that associate, as well as the assistant manager, both of whom told me it was not returnable since it had been worn.
I then called the corporate office and was told the same thing. This is an unfair policy that does not consider the possibility of a defective product.

I book a hotel incorrectly in trip. Com and I let them know immediately in less than 30 minutes - they did try to cancel the booking but told me they were not able to get a hold of the hotel and the hotel had already charge me- the hotel was over an hour away in a different city and every time I search for Gangam Seoul it would come up first on the list even though it was not on Gangam Seoul but over an hour away- I had to stay in a different hotel paying twice for that night-
I need a reimbursement of my money but the app was not able to get it for me- I payed with dillards American Express -
I booked a two nights for $182 and I had to re- book another hotel near by but they en ever have me my money back of $182

How this company is in business is beyond me. I shop online A LOT and have NEVER had an experience like this.
I ordered a jacket on 9/20 (thought 30 day return policy was like other stores and most in the times of amazon have wiggle room, did not read the fine print), it was delivered on 9/24. I returned it on 10/25 and it was delivered to them on 10/28. They shipped it back saying I could not return it. After trying to get a resolution they agreed to a credit which I will not likely use because their store is crap and they are charging me shipping.
This is my first and last experience with this store. I would imagine they will be out of business very quickly.

I bought a vintage purse at the Dillards at the Galleria mall in Fort Lauderdale. I did not realize the purse was defective and asked to exchange it.
I was treated rudely by the store manager Shannon. Not only was she rude, she walked away from me while I was talking. I proceeded to called Meredith the district manager and she also refused to resolve my problem and was rude. I am shocked that I spent $1300 to be treated in such a way.
I am 75 years old and have not been treated so poorly by a store in a long time.
Don't buy ANYTHING at Dillards! They will not make things right if there is a problem with a purchase or an employee.

Shoe Department
I bought some shoes at Dillards and the store manager didnt want to make an exchange, I used the shoes to walk from door to my drive way and the shoes were to hard for my feet Two days after I purchased them I went to return them she said the shoes were used ! Of course I had to walk with them to my vehicle after I realized the shoes are very hard material !
I did not want my money back I wanted to exchange them to something similar but softer!
She said no very disappointed at Dillards I always buy my shoes and my clothes at Dillards ! I will ven we go back to that shoe department very disrespectful manager!

Placed in Handcuffs, Threathen and Humiliated for doing nothing wrong
My name is Aristotle Myers, 5ft -11 inch, 167 lbs., Black male. I live near and shop at First Colony Mall often, sometimes to purchase or sometimes to look at items I may want to purchase.
While in the mall with my family shopping we separated and I went to the Dillards store to look around. I had to go to the restroom while in the store which I proceeded to do. Once I left the restroom and headed down the escalator, I was approached by a police officer who proceeded to detain me and stated one of the employees accused me of stealing. Instead of asking me to follow her and show me the evidence she proceeded to place me in handcuffs hurting my wrist and drag me embarrassingly through the large store where customers looked at me shamefully and demandingly.
I stated this was not necessary I had not stolen any items and if they would just look to their video they would see without a shadow of a doubt I had done nothing wrong. The officer was aggressive and spoke to me demeaningly for absolutely no reason and with no evidence. I was threatened to be placed on store banning, criminal trespass by officer and staff and again with no evidence of wrongdoing. After they reviewed the video they sent me away without the decency of an apology for the pain of being handcuffed or the embarrassment of being paraded through the store embarrassingly.
I then contacted my mother, who is a Police Officer herself and has been for 20 plus years to come to the store and help me address this issue. Once she arrived at the store and asked for a manager suddenly no one knew who the manager was. After several attempts to get a manager finally the lady who was standing there the entire time while we were asking for a manager identified herself as the manager. We then asked them to bring the officer who handcuffed me to explain why she had handcuffed me and embarrassed me in the store.
Once she arrived and found out my mother was a police officer her attitude as well as the staff attitude changed to being apologetic but prior to my mother being present, I was threatened to be banned and sent away without the courtesy of an explanation or apology. Now the officer stated that she was wrong for cuffing me and apologized and now the staff apologizing. The Officer that handcuffed me, spoke to me with disrespect based on the good faith of the Store employee statement when she was called. I asked well were was my good faith as I had not been proven of any wrongdoing and I received no answer.
I asked which employee had accused me of this and again no one knew who stated this suddenly. My mother recorded the interaction between herself and the officer and the manager where they stated they were wrong, and had no reason to cuff and parade me through the store, but only because my mother an officer demanded an explanation. Prior to this I was treated disrespectfully and threatened. I am extremely angry and disappointed, pained and embarrassed after this ordeal for no real reason other than some employees opinion.
I was not even given the courtesy of being asked to come with officer to straighten the situation out or talked to with and respect prior to finding out if I had done any wrongdoing.
If not for my mother being an officer and demanding a response, I would have left the store embarrassed demeaned pained and threatened. At this time, I feel that I will be contacting an attorney due to the mental stress this unecessary action has caused
